About Suraya
Suraya started dancing in the creative environs of Adelaide in 1999. In 2000, Suraya was invited to relocate to Sydney to start her professional dance career. During this time she has had the opportunity to be introduced to the styles of National and International Artists here today.
With this, Suraya has adapted her unique style that will leave you enchanted and mesmerized. She has the grace of a ballerina together with a fiery passion, fusing Raqs Sharki with Spanish, African and Gypsy influences from her Caribbean heritage.
Her unique ability to adapt to different styles, compliments her strong technical skills. Particularly with body isolations. Suraya carries an ageless grace when she performs. Spellbinding in her elegance, she also dones the strength of the ghawazee.

Suraya has been dancing professionally since arriving in Sydney and is having the pleasure of entertaining audiences at a wide array of Restaurants, Weddings, Festivals, Corporate Events, Functions, 5 star Hotels etc, where she is well sought after.
